EU sets country specific quota allocations under post-safeguard regime

The European Commission has announced that it has set out the detailed country allocation of tariff quotas under the EU’s new steel trade regime. The India-EFTA (European Free Trade Association) free trade agreement (FTA) will come into effect from October 1, 2025, India’s commerce minister, Piyush Goyal, said in a statement on Monday, July 21.
