US ITC confirms US DOC margins on rebar imports from Turkey and Japan

The United States International Trade Commission (US ITC) determined that the US industry is materially injured by reason of imports of steel concrete reinforcing bar from Japan and Turkey that the US Department of Commerce (DOC) has determined are sold in the United States at less than fair value and subsidized by the government of Turkey.

Chairman Rhonda K. Schmidtlein, Vice Chairman David S. Johanson, and Commissioners Irving A. Williamson, Meredith M. Broadbent, and F. Scott Kieff voted in the affirmative.

As a result of the US ITC’s affirmative determinations, the final antidumping duty orders on imports of this product from Japan and Turkey and a countervailing duty order on imports of this product from Turkey, announced last month, will be implemented.
