Australia’s Antidumping Commission has announced that it has terminated the antidumping (AD) duty investigation against imports of hot rolled wire rod in coils with diameter of less than 14 mm from Turkey.

The commission found that, regarding exports of the products in question from Turkish steelmaker Habas Sinai ve Tibbi Gazlar Istihsal Endüstrisi A.Ş (Habas), there has been dumping of the goods, though the dumping margin is less than two percent and is negligible. It also found that the total volume of goods exported to Australia over a reasonable examination period from Turkey which have been dumped is negligible. Australia also terminated the antidumping investigation regarding the Indonesian steel producer PT Ispat Indo on the grounds that there has been no dumping of goods.

The investigation was launched in April 2014 against Taiwan, Turkey and Indonesia upon the application made by Australian steel producer OneSteel Manufacturing Pty Ltd (OneSteel). The products subject to the antidumping duty investigation currently fall under the Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7213.91.00 and 7227.90.90.
