			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Australia&#8217;s Antidumping Commission has announced that it has initiated a review of the antidumping measures applying to certain reinforcing bars exported to Australia from South Korea and Taiwan (with the exception of Power Steel Co. Ltd). This review is limited to examining whether the variable factors, relevant to the taking of the antidumping measures, should be varied.</p>
<p>The review launched upon the applications lodged by Australia-based DITH Australia Pty Ltd and Liberty OneSteel (Newcastle) Pty Ltd covers the period between July 1, 2017 and June 30, 2018.</p>
<p>The antidumping duties were originally imposed on November 19, 2015 and range between three percent and 14.3 percent.</p>
<p>The products subject to antidumping review currently fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7213.10.00, 7214.20.00, 7227.90.10, 7227.90.90, 7228.30.10, 7228.30.90 and 7228.60.10.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Australia’s Antidumping Commission has announced that within the scope of its antidumping duty investigation regarding reinforcing bar imports from Greece, Indonesia, Spain (by Nervacero S.A), Taiwan (by Power Steel Co. Ltd) and Thailand, it has decided to terminate the investigation in relation to Indonesian exporters PT Ispat Panca Putera and PT Putra Baja Deli since the dumping margin for the two companies is less than two percent.</p>
<p>The investigation into the alleged dumping of the goods from Greece, Indonesia (by exporters other than PT Ispat Panca Putera and PT Putra Baja Deli), Spain (by Nervacero S.A), Taiwan (by Power Steel Co. Ltd) and Thailand will continue.</p>

<p>The commission stated that it will require and take antidumping duties in respect of the goods exported from Greece, Indonesia (except for the goods exported by PT Ispat Panca Putera and PT Putra Baja Deli), Spain (exported by Nervacero S.A), Taiwan (exported by Power Steel Co. Ltd) and Thailand entered for home consumption on or after November 15. The commission will present its recommendations to the parliamentary secretary on or before December 29.</p>
<p>The products subject to preliminary antidumping duty currently fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Number 7213.10.00, 7214.20.00, 7227.90.10, 7227.90.90, 7228.30.10, 7228.30.90 and 7228.60.10.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>On July 21, 2017, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced its affirmative final determination in the antidumping duty (AD) investigation of imports of steel concrete reinforcing bar from Taiwan.</p>
<p>Mandatory respondents Power Steel Co., Ltd. and Lo-Toun Steel and Iron Works Co., Ltd. received final dumping margins of 3.50 percent and 32.01 percent, respectively.  The DOC assigned the final margin of 3.50 percent to all other producers/exporters of steel concrete reinforcing bar from Taiwan.</p>
<p>As a result of the final affirmative determination, the DOC will instruct US Customs and Border Protection to collect cash deposits based on these final rates. The US International Trade Commission (ITC) is scheduled to announce its final determination on or about September 5, 2017.</p>

<p>The application lodged by Australian steelmaker OneSteel Manufacturing Pty Ltd claims that the goods have been exported to Australia at prices less than their normal value and that the dumping has caused material injury to the Australian industry through price depression, loss of sale volumes and market share, reduced revenue, loss of profit and reduced profitability.</p>
<p>The investigation will cover the period between April 1, 2016 and March 31, 2017, and the goods in question currently fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Number 7213.10.00, 7214.20.00, 7227.90.10, 7227.90.90, 7227.90.90, 7228.30.10, 7228.30.90 and 7228.60.10.</p>

<p>The petitioners in the investigation are the Rebar Trade Action Coalition and its individual members: Byer Steel Group, Inc., Commercial Metals Company, Gerdau Long Steel North America, Nucor, and Steel Dynamics, Inc.</p>
<p>The DOC is scheduled to announce its final determinations on or about May 16, 2017, for Japan and Turkey, and July 6, 2017, for Taiwan. The ITC is scheduled to make its final injury determinations in June 2017 for Japan and Turkey, and in August 2017 for Taiwan.</p>
<p>The subject merchandise is classifiable in the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) primarily under item numbers 7213.10.0000, 7214.20.0000, and 7228.30.8010.  The subject merchandise may also enter under other HTSUS numbers including 7215.90.1000, 7215.90.5000, 7221.00.0017, 7221.00.0018, 7221.00.0030, 7221.00.0045, 7222.11.0001, 7222.11.0057, 7222.11.0059, 7222.30.0001, 7227.20.0080, 7227.90.6030, 7227.90.6035, 7227.90.6040, 7228.20.1000, and 7228.60.6000.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has announced its preliminary results concerning its antidumping duty investigation regarding certain concrete reinforcing bar originating or exported from Belarus, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Portugal and Spain.</p>
<p>Accordingly, the CBSA calculated preliminary antidumping duties ranging from one percent to 109.2 percent for the six locations. Provisional duties are now payable on the subject goods that are released from customs on or after January 3, 2017. The investigation was launched in August 2016 upon a complaint received from local producers AltaSteel Ltd, ArcelorMittal Long Products Canada and Gerdeau Longsteel North America.</p>
<p>The preliminary dumping margins announced per producer/exporter are as follows:</p>
