			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>On July 21, 2017, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced its affirmative final determination in the antidumping duty (AD) investigation of imports of steel concrete reinforcing bar from Taiwan.</p>
<p>Mandatory respondents Power Steel Co., Ltd. and Lo-Toun Steel and Iron Works Co., Ltd. received final dumping margins of 3.50 percent and 32.01 percent, respectively.  The DOC assigned the final margin of 3.50 percent to all other producers/exporters of steel concrete reinforcing bar from Taiwan.</p>
<p>As a result of the final affirmative determination, the DOC will instruct US Customs and Border Protection to collect cash deposits based on these final rates. The US International Trade Commission (ITC) is scheduled to announce its final determination on or about September 5, 2017.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>On March 1, 2017, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced its affirmative preliminary determinations in the antidumping duty investigations of rebar imports from Japan, Taiwan, and Turkey and released preliminary dumping rates:</p>
<p>The preliminary antidumping duty rates per country and company are as follows:</p>
<p>Japan</p>
<ul>
<li>Jonan Steel Corporation : 209.46%</li>
<li>Kyoei Steel Ltd. : 209.46%</li>
<li>All Others : 209.46%</li>
</ul>
<p>Taiwan</p>
<ul>
<li>Power Steel Co. : 3.48%</li>
<li>Lo-Toun Steel and Iron Works : 29.47%</li>
<li>All Others : 5.49%</li>
</ul>
<p>Turkey</p>
<ul>
<li>Habas : 5.29%</li>
<li>Icdas : 7.07%</li>
<li>All Others : 6.20%</li>
</ul>
<p>The petitioners in the investigation are the Rebar Trade Action Coalition and its individual members: Byer Steel Group, Inc., Commercial Metals Company, Gerdau Long Steel North America, Nucor, and Steel Dynamics, Inc.</p>
<p>The DOC is scheduled to announce its final determinations on or about May 16, 2017, for Japan and Turkey, and July 6, 2017, for Taiwan. The ITC is scheduled to make its final injury determinations in June 2017 for Japan and Turkey, and in August 2017 for Taiwan.</p>
<p>The subject merchandise is classifiable in the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) primarily under item numbers 7213.10.0000, 7214.20.0000, and 7228.30.8010.  The subject merchandise may also enter under other HTSUS numbers including 7215.90.1000, 7215.90.5000, 7221.00.0017, 7221.00.0018, 7221.00.0030, 7221.00.0045, 7222.11.0001, 7222.11.0057, 7222.11.0059, 7222.30.0001, 7227.20.0080, 7227.90.6030, 7227.90.6035, 7227.90.6040, 7228.20.1000, and 7228.60.6000.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has announced its preliminary results concerning its antidumping duty investigation regarding certain concrete reinforcing bar originating or exported from Belarus, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Portugal and Spain.</p>
<p>Accordingly, the CBSA calculated preliminary antidumping duties ranging from one percent to 109.2 percent for the six locations. Provisional duties are now payable on the subject goods that are released from customs on or after January 3, 2017. The investigation was launched in August 2016 upon a complaint received from local producers AltaSteel Ltd, ArcelorMittal Long Products Canada and Gerdeau Longsteel North America.</p>
<p>The preliminary dumping margins announced per producer/exporter are as follows:</p>

<li>Feng Hsin Steel Co., Ltd. (Taiwan) 1.0%</li>
