Our 58th meeting will be at the Swissotel in Istanbul  (12/19/2007)
The 58th IREPAS meeting will be held at the Swissotel The Bosphorous in Istanbul, from 6th to 8th of April 2008, along with the SteelOrbis Spring 2008 Conference. As announced before, for the first time ever the event will host an international steel sculpture exhibition which will provide an elegant and interesting atmosphere for networking. Artworks by fourteen artists from across Europe, the Middle East, Latin America and Asia. Each of these artists, who have chosen sculpture as their primary visual language, offers his or her own unique and individual perspective through the use of steel as a medium of creative expression. Grupo Villacero is taking the lead in organizing and supporting these steel sculpture exhibitions, which have now practically become a tradition following the success of the initial events showcasing Latin American artists during the ILAFA meetings in South America. 58th IREPAS meeting will be in Istanbul  (11/23/2007)
IREPAS chairman Mr Ugur Dalbeler has announced that the 58th meeting will be held in Istanbul most probably in April 2008, along with SteelOrbis Spring'08 Conference. There will also be an exhibition of steel sculptures organized by Fundaçion Villacero. Fourteen artists from fourteen different countries (12 from EuroAsia and 2 from Latin America) will be exhibiting their artworks made by using steel.
57th IREPAS meeting was held in Warsaw  (10/4/2007)
The 57th IREPAS meeting was held at the Sofitel Victoria Hotel in Warsaw, from 9th to 11th of September 2007, along with the SteelOrbis Spring 2007 Conference. There were 210 attendees from over 30 countries. You may find the presentations of the 57th meeting, both under the Meeting section of this website and at www.steelorbisevents.com under 57th IREPAS meeting page. The meeting also hosted two panel discussions, with the first one being on the steel futures contracts to be launched by LME next April, and the second on the market putting forward the opinions of producers, raw material suppliers and traders.
Record attendance at our 56th meeting  (9/17/2007)
The 56th IREPAS meeting was held at the Grand Marina Hotel in Barcelona, from 25th to 27th of March 2007, along with the SteelOrbis Spring 2007 Conference. This meeting attracted a record attendance of 255 industry representatives from about 150 companies, including over 75 delegates from producing companies. 55th IREPAS Meeting brought together 200 steel market players  (10/10/2006)
The conjunction of SteelOrbis’ and IREPAS’ bi-annual conferences continued with the SteelOrbis Fall’ 06 Conference & 55th IREPAS Meeting in Prague, September 17 – 19, 2006. A total of 200 professionals from 125 companies connected with the steel industry came together in Prague for the occasion. Starting with the 55th IREPAS Meeting, new changes were made in order to increase the efficiency of the event. The duration was extended to three days. Separate Committee Meetings under the headings of Raw Materials, Producers and Traders, were held. All these changes are the result of feedback gained from questionnaires filled out by participants at previous meetings. The programme commenced with the Welcome Cocktail on Sunday evening, which provided the perfect opportunity for networking. The conference presentations began after the Committee Meetings on Monday morning and continued all day Monday and on Tuesday until noon. After all was said and done, the attendees bade farewell and promised to meet again at the next SteelOrbis & IREPAS event. IREPAS had its 54th meeting with 191 participants  (6/26/2006)
The 54th IREPAS meeting was held on April 2nd and 3rd, along with SteelOrbis' Spring '06 "Steel in the Raw" conference at the LeMeridien Excelsior Galia Hotel in Milan. A total of 191 steel industry professionals from 30 different countries attended the conference, during which the current market circumstances and the expectations for future were discussed.

One of the highest participations is reached in the 49th Meeting in Istanbul. 50 delegates representing 27 producers from 15 countries and 90 traders from 18 countries met in Istanbul on 12th and 13th of October 2003.
Future is difficult to predict  (12/11/2003)
During the 49th Irepas meeting traders have stated that future is difficult to predict. However, a stable environment is expected where in one hand prices of HBI, DRI, scrap, coke are showing a rising trend but on the other hand customers are reluctant to accept price increases on products. Despite difficulties in the market, traders are having the understanding that an increase in international prices is required.
